Why are we investing so much money in a war, When we should be searching for ways to prevent global warming?

9. We are over there to protect our interest in the oil fields to keep the oil flowing to Saudia Arabia so they can then sell it to us at $70 a barrel to keep the American economy going. Makes sense doesn't it.....spend billions on a war to protect oil that we allow OTHERS to pump out so they can sell to US for a high price. Called big oil companies making billions while we sit here blind and dumb.

If it is true, what makes you think the war is worthless because of all the stuff you read and watch tells you its so? Just as with global warming what changes have you suffered from global warming?

19. Because we are currently at war. Global warming may not even exist. Should we spend money on something we have not a good understanding of? In my life that would be considered wasting money. I would want to know what I'm investing money on before dishing it out.

21. Terrorists will kill us much sooner than global warming. Global warming is a natural cycle that the earth is going through. If all humans were dead it would still happen. I could understand it if you wanted to spend the money on finding renewable energy sources. I'm worried about the debt too, but having a few more dollars in my pocket wont help me if some terrorist sets off a dirty bomb in my backyard.

24. Global warming is not a big deal, the earth has been afflicted with this long before we came to be. As for the war, you are correct. We can stop the war so the terrorists can murder us all. Once the only living people are the terrorists, let global warming be their concern.
25. i believe there has been searches and finding of ways. but the matter is just not given much attention. Simply because it won't be affecting our generation. And also, theres no or little profits at all in that matter. Maybe the National Leaders just can't be bothered it. Afterall it will take alot to make significance. People around the world have to cooperate
26. Really, your question ought to be in the politics section. However, ignoring that for the moment, I don't believe that global warming is caused by anything man has done. And even if it was, we have to kill all the alligators (terrorists) before we can see to draining the swamp.

29. What makes you think global warming can be prevented? Global warming is coming, and we can not reverse it. Sure mankind has and is contributing to the present onset, but we are not the lone reason. Planet earth has been thru many global warmings and ice ages, and most happened when humans did not exist.
