Are we still in the Search and Rescue stage of Global warming or are we in the body recovery stage?

- I believe we are in the "convincing" stage because there are equal number of skeptics and believers. I think the faster we reach a consensus the better it is for everyone.
- Neither. If the human race did not exist tomorrow the earth's temperature would continue to rise naturally until it of course started to fall again. The earth's climate is cyclical...PERIOD.
- We're pretty close to the border. The victim is in for a long hospital stay, but he's alive. For now. It's not close between skeptics and non-skeptics. Not even in the general population in the US: http://www.americans-world.org/digest/global_issues/global_warming/gw1.cfm The last point is particularly fascinating. In many other countries it's even less close. http://www.worldpublicopinion.org/pipa/articles/home_page/329.php?nid=&id=&pnt=329&lb=hmpg1 Of course among scientists, it's even farther from close. Very strong consensus, with just a few holdouts. The data ensures they'll be even fewer very soon. http://www.sciencemag.org/cgi/content/full/306/5702/1686
- As a human race, I think we are split: Many deny that anyone has been lost. Many say it's natural for somebody to get lost, so ... oh, well. Many are involved in search and rescue. Many don't care enough to have an opinion.
- We are still in the distress call being received stage. We have not yet reached the search and rescue stage.
- Despite the fact that the person has been missing for weeks the rescue team is still trying to convince everyone that the person is actually gone.
- Your analogies are flawed in that they imply that something alive is lost and in need of aid, which if not provided will result in death. So what exactly to you think is lost?
