Will the US jump on board with global economic initiatives?

With so much concern over our economy I decided to search what the rest of the world is doing to combat their own economic crisis's. It appears so many players are lowering corporate and personal taxes from China to Norway and so many other countries. Do you think this is a good thing? If so, do you really think Obama will raise corporate tax or is he just trying to gain votes? If he claims to be a Global Thinker then why is he going against the grain. Are all these countries and the World Bank wrong?

1. once again, Presidents promise tons of things yet can do nothing without congress. since most of congress needs money from corporations do you think they will vote to raise taxes on them? vote for me, i get no one to support me, so i can force congress to raise taxes on corporations.
