In the us coast guard is it possible to b in law enforcement and still take part in search and rescue efforts?

......w/out joining the auxilary i would like to join the uscg and bust drugrunners and rescue people in a chopper too...what is the verdict? ok, for those who dont get it, it makes perfect sense..... can i or can i not do both? can i join a force with the uscg that does both, becuz on their website it looks like i can only do one. (can i respond to rescue emergencies and rescue people in a chopper and bust drugrunners in a boat? on their website it seemes like i can ither join the law enforcement division or the rescue division...is there a division that does both? and no this is no dream state! it is my future....i can do all the school stuff...u hav to go thru skool to git any job u want neways

Uh!Like hello here that is what the coast guard does so what is your point in asking this question. First you have to get pass the ASVAD test and qualify for a school before you even think about what you described in your question and after that you have to get through boot camp and your school so don't get a head of yourself ok your just in the dream state right now until you do all the other first the latter that you ask is just a dream and I know ok I am a veteran and served in the Army & Navy ok!
Yo man they have a drug interdiction team in which you can join. Check out the USCG website and it should be listed there. HOLLYWOOD is in desperate need for a dream cause he's probably living a pathetic life right now but keep on dreaming and just keep focused. Find out all the info in that job field and if thats what you want go for it 100%. Good Luck!

Yes it is. Search and rescue missions are commonly called a classic mystery. Law enforcement solves those cases. Best bet though is to talk to a recruiter. He will be able to answer your question better.
